Created from Love

My husband, Donnie, and I first met in school, although our story together wouldn't begin until years later. We started dating in 1997, married in 2001, and built a life together centered around family and our beautiful daughter, Robynn Joy.

Robynn was our only child—a budding artist with a beautiful spirit, a creative heart, and a light that touched the people around her.

In 2008, life’s journey sent us in search for a very real healing when we lost our sweet Robynn.

There really aren't words that fully explain what it means to lose your child. What I can tell you is that healing became a journey for both Donnie and me—one that would require faith, patience, grace, and learning how to move forward without leaving the love we have for Robynn behind.

For me, healing was never about letting her go. It was learning how to carry her with me while continuing to live, love, and find beauty in the life God had still given me.

Somewhere along that journey, The Robynn Joy Company was born.

A Place to Still Love Her

I began making candles and soaps for family and friends as a form of creative therapy. Working with my hands gave me a way to continue expressing the love that never left.

At first, I was simply creating.

But over time, creating taught me something else: how to be present again.

I began noticing the small things—the warmth of a candle, a familiar fragrance, the softness of cared-for skin, a peaceful room, the touch of someone you love. I became more intentional about saying “I love you,” about being grateful, and about appreciating moments we so easily assume will always be there.

I also began to recognize how powerfully our senses hold our memories.

Several of my sweetest memories are rooted in the aromas of life—the changing seasons, the orange blossoms from my back yard as a little girl, or my husband's cologne. A familiar fragrance can take me somewhere my heart remembers instantly.

And that understanding became part of the heart of The Robynn Joy Company.

More Than Products

What began with handcrafted, plant-based candles gradually grew into body care, aromatic experiences, and intentional self-care rituals created to nourish the body, awaken the senses, and restore the spirit.

Our candles are created to transform the atmosphere around you. Our body care is thoughtfully crafted to nourish and care for the skin. Our fragrances invite memory, emotion, and escape.

But the heart behind them is the same.

We create experiences, not simply products.

Every Robynn Joy creation is an invitation to slow down. To breathe. To be present. To give yourself grace. To remember what matters. And sometimes, simply to stay in a beautiful moment a little longer.

The Journey

Through her own healing, Joy came to recognize something universal: although every person's journey is different, there are things we all find ourselves needing along the way.

Light. Truth. Power. Grace. Prosperity.

There are seasons when we need light to see our way forward. Truth to bring clarity. Power to keep going. Grace when we need compassion—for ourselves and others. And prosperity that reminds us life can still hold beauty, purpose, opportunity, and abundance.

These became the foundation of The Journey — Signature Collection and, in many ways, the philosophy behind The Robynn Joy Company itself.

And woven throughout Joy's journey has been faith.

Not the promise of a life without pain, but the assurance that God remains present within it. Through grief, rebuilding, creating, and becoming, His grace has been the quiet thread reminding her that even the most difficult chapters of our lives do not have to be the end of our story.

Love That Gives

The love behind The Robynn Joy Company was never intended to stop with us.

Giving back has remained part of our heart and our responsibility. A portion of our purchases supports efforts to help feed those experiencing homelessness and families in need. In 2022 alone, that commitment helped provide holiday meals for more than 200 families.

Because restoration becomes even more meaningful when we can extend it to someone else.

Her Name. Her Light. Her Legacy.

Robynn Joy is more than the name on our products.

She is part of the reason we understand that moments matter. That love should be expressed freely. That beauty can coexist with grief. That healing does not require forgetting. And that something created from a place of brokenness can, by God's grace, become a source of comfort and restoration for someone else.

The Robynn Joy Company continues to grow, but the heart of it remains exactly where it began:
