Joy Potter and her husband Donnie are the oldest and youngest of two of Southern California’s finest entrepreneurs. The two met in school but began dating in 1997 and married in 2001, raising their beautiful daughter Robynn Joy. A budding artist and light to everyone she met.
In 2008, life’s journey sent Joy & Donnie in search for a very real healing when they lost their lovely Robynn. The Robynn Joy Company was founded during this very personal quest for tangible healing. Learning after 20 years of marriage, that to successfully survive loss and still thrive, life’s journey, many times, requires a process of healing.
Joy began making candles and soap for family and friends. What started as creative therapy quickly became a pursuit of being “present” in the now and remembering the simple things for which to be grateful; things often taken for granted. Like saying “I love you” every chance you get or the soft touch of a loved one.
Their creative quest began with all-natural plant-based aromatherapy candles. Their mission grew to bath and body essentials, observing that our skin health is something that a lot of us take for granted. Many of our memories are rooted our senses.
“Several of my sweetest memories are rooted in the aromas of life,” Joy says. “The aromas of the changing season, the comforting scent of my mother’s hugs or my husband’s cologne always bring a smile to my face.”
“Our skin is our largest organ and our body’s first line of defense and therefore is exposed to many irritants and chemicals. The Robynn Joy Company’s hand made products are richly infused with premium all-natural ingredients, that help condition and nourish the skin while soothing the senses.”
Our artisan blends cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize, leaving a soft glow that can only come from healthy skin, while also helping to calm the frustrating attacks of dry skin, eczema, and other skin conditions.
The Robynn Joy signature, scented soy coconut candles transform any atmosphere into a tranquil aromatic delight.
At The Robynn Joy Company we also know the value of giving back, so we dedicate 10% of every purchase to feed the homeless. In 2022 we were able to feed over 200 families for the holidays.
